The new single by the Namibian kwaito sensation EES proves once again that – his love for original Namibian style and color, and this time with an even deeper message of global influence.
The music video for the new single “Original” which was launched on the 21st July 2017 and was produced by the well-known German video Producer Alexander Cheng Löw who traveled to Namibia with his team for 10 days to shoot the highly professional music video with EES. With support from the Namibian Tourism Board (Frankfurt), Gondwana, Journeys & Caprivi Car Hire the film team traveled over 2000km through the country to various indigenous Namibian tribes to capture the soul of their culture and traditions for the new EES video.
The production team went out to create a story of an Americanized African rapper who is being kidnapped by EES, who then shows him the beauty of the original African culture. To then, in the end, celebrate originality from your own home rather than copying the styles of other nations abroad. Their message is clear and simple: be ORIGINAL and celebrate your own cultures
The video is now already getting major online attention and is getting airplay on the biggest music video channels in both Africa and Europe, including Channel O, MTV, Trace TV, Ampya TV, and Tape.tv.
Not only does the message behind the music video and song inspire the African youth to celebrate their local style – but it also represents Namibia and its different cultures on the international music scene.
We are sure that this press release reaches you in good standing and that you carry the message further and spread it with the people of Namibia.
